Someone recently compared the two books: The original CSG with the new 'polished' version. Specifically finding out what had been taken out of the original version concerning the phrase 'Absolute Love, Faith and especially Absolute Obedience'. In the original book, with cross references, repetitions, fuller explanations, the meaning is clearly about absolute obedience to God. In the edited version however, the leaning is heavily on Absolute Obedience to leaders, structure etc. In other words, things of far lesser importance.
I'm not saying don't have the polished version, just saying that we need the original back as a real book too, so people can make up their own minds about what is most important to them.
